May 2015 - Italian Reds, Not Chianti

We had another great wine tasting this month. It was a small group, but fantastic wines. Even though a couple of wines didn't get any votes, it was not for lack of quality. I don't think we had any bad ones in the bunch. It was just too hard to pick the top 3. I do believe we are getting better at selecting wines which makes the voting more challenging, but more fun and delicious! Now on to the results...

#1 Poggio al Tufo, Rompicollo, 2011, $18 (12 points)

#2 Cesari, Mara, Valpolicella Ripasso, 2010 $2? (11 points)

#3 Villa Baglio, Barolo, $2008, $30 (7 points)

#4 Valle Reale, Montepulciano D'Abruzzo, 2013, $12 (6 points, tie)

#4 Masi, Bonacosta, Valpolicella, 2009, $? (6 points)

Arpa, Brunello Di Montalcion, 2007, $? (0 points, but still delicious)
